Waste banks are one of the strategies for implementing 3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) in managing waste at the source at the community level with an economic incentive pattern. The Waste Bank in Pohijo Village has been operating since 2021 and continues to this day. This research aims to determine the factors influencing community participation in saving at the Waste Bank in Pohijo Village. This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design. This article explores the role of waste banks in maintaining environmental cleanliness and encouraging the local economy in Pohijo Village. With population growth and changes in consumption patterns, the waste problem increasingly threatens the balance of ecosystems and human health. The concept of a waste bank as a sustainable initiative has emerged as a solution that combines waste management efforts with community empowerment. This article examines how the waste bank in Pohijo Village contributes to maintaining environmental cleanliness through a participatory approach to waste collection, sorting and management. In addition, this article explains the positive impact of waste banks on the local economy by providing new opportunities for Pohijo Village residents to generate income from waste management and recycling. By analyzing cross-sector collaboration, community participation, and the resulting economic benefits, this article provides insight into how waste banks can become a motor for sustainable change at the village level, providing sustainable environmental and economic benefits.
